Probe as staff testing hospital food are hit by illness

An investigation is under way at a Highland hospital after staff were treated at accident and emergency following the trial of a new food range for patients.

Nine catering staff and one supplier were treated at Raigmore Hospital in Inverness, with a further employee experiencing similar symptoms.

It is understood that the workers suffered temporary loss of vision after coming into contact with the packaging of pureed foods designed for patients who have difficulty swallowing.
