A WOMAN has been found dead at Stirling railway station in "unexplained" circumstances.
British Transport Police were called to the scene at around 2.15pm on Monday after the woman's body was found in the station car park.
Officers remained at the scene late last night and inquiries were ongoing to establish the identity of the woman.
A spokesman for BTP said: "Officers from BTP and Police Scotland attended at the scene and inquiries are ongoing to establish the identity of the woman and the cause of death.
"Her death is being treated as unexplained at this stage."
