Proposed changes

l New bus lane cameras on Govan Road, St Vincent Street, Stockwell Street, Clyde Arc and Dumbarton Road to generate almost £1.4 million.

l Additional learning schools facing closure, merger and relocation will be named and subject of consultation in the coming weeks.

l Review of high-cost care packages for those with severe disabilities to save £2.3m.

l Increasing the standard hourly rate for nursery places to £2.45 and £3.69 for those living outside Glasgow.

l Reducing the number of homelessness service offices from five to three.

l Introducing a combined charge of 25p for fruit and snacks in nurseries, where previously fruit was free.

l Reducing staff numbers in its arm's-length social care organisation by 300. A further 300 redundancies had previously been announced. Council insists on no compulsory redundancies.

l Increasing the charge for a breakfast in schools from 50p to £1. Consultation already carried out on the plans.

l Cutting back on overheads and maintenance costs in parks to save £362,000.

l Spending £3m on two additional care homes for children.

l Spending £1m developing parks and a further £400,000 on running trails in parks.

l Spending more than £12m on replacement services for the homeless.
