Pub chain to open for school run

Parents are to be encouraged to take their children to the pub during the school run, under a controversial plan by national chain JD Wetherspoon.

The company, which has 48 outlets in Scotland out of 750 across the UK, is to open virtually all its pubs from 7am starting on April 28, in an effort to capture what it believes is a burgeoning appetite for dining out at breakfast time.
