THE Queen has spent the night in hospital after suffering from suspected gastroenteritis.
Buckingham Palace officials last night said the monarch was in "good spirits" as she recovers in King Edward VII's Hospital in London. It is the first time the Queen has had to stay in hospital overnight since a routine knee operation 10 years ago. She fell ill with the bug on Friday and was forced to cancel engagements.
