Rangers fan dies after Ibrox match

A Rangers supporter has died after falling ill while watching his team at Ibrox.

The man, who was in his 50s, was taken from the stadium to the Southern General Hospital in Glasgow at around 3.30pm today but later died.

There are no suspicious circumstances around the death.

A spokesman for Strathclyde Police said: "Around 3.30pm today a man aged in his 50s took unwell while attending a match at Ibrox stadium in Glasgow. He was taken by ambulance to the Southern General hospital but died a short time later.
