FORMER Rangers star Bob Malcolm is due in court next week after being sued by bank bosses for £65,000.

Royal Bank of Scotland say they gave the former Rangers, Motherwell and Dundee ace a huge loan to help finance a film project in 2004.

In papers lodged at Hamilton Sheriff Court, RBS's legal team say they've been chasing the player for cash for years.

The star's financial adviser is accused of borrowing money from a Nottingham branch of the bank, but his solicitors, Edinburgh-based Anderson Strathern, say the player has never been involved in films or visited that RBS branch.

The 32-year-old's solicitor also denied the star ever received the money.

The RBS hearing is due to be called next week.
