Ready, steady, dust

MUSEUM technicians Alex and John Norris and conservator Laurence Simmen make sure some of the exhibits at the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum are looking their best in time for the Commonwealth Games.

Mike Cantlay, chairman of VisitScotland, said visitor attractions would be "a big draw to spectators looking for that perfect blend of sport and culture".

Research has suggested that 80 per cent of Games spectators are interested in seeing more the city.
