A group of 26 long-finned pilot whales, including three young calves, became stranded on the beach between Anstruther and Pittenweem in Fife on September 2.
The mammals got into trouble when they were trapped in the cove at low tide, and specialist rescue teams worked alongside Fife Coastguard and police in a bid to save them.
