Residents rescued as 50 firefighters tackle tenement blaze

Five people have been rescued from a fire at a tenement flat in Edinburgh.

Around 50 firefighters fought the blaze which broke out in a first-floor flat in Fountainbridge, Edinburgh at around 10.15am.

Five residents thought to be in their 20s were removed through windows by crews using a turntable ladder and were treated at the scene.
