A NAIRN hotel has been named one of the top 10 of the year at the launch of the 2013 edition of the Good Hotel Guide.
Boath House, a restored Regency mansion in Auldearn, has received a prestigious Cesar award from the guide, earning it an "Oscar" of the hotel industry.
The Grade-A listed building was restored to its original splendour by owners Don and Wendy Matheson after being on Historic Scotland's at risk register in the early 1990s.
The Good Hotel Guide, which is the leading independent guide to hotels of character and quality in Great Britain and Ireland, also named the venue its Scottish hotel of the year.
