A ROAD rage motorcyclist who punched a driver in the head is being sought by police.

The incident on the A89, at Dechmont, Livingston, happened at 11.30am on Tuesday, after a minor disagreement between the motorcyclist and the 62-year-old driver of a white Nissan van.

The motorcylist, who was on an off-road dirt bike, followed the van and then pulled alongside it at traffic lights at the junction with the B8046, where he hit the van's wing mirror and then the driver.

He was wearing an open-faced scrambler style helmet with a distinctive front peak, scramble bike clothing and black gloves.
