Roaring demand for Lion King

HUNDREDS of people queued outside Edinburgh's Playhouse as tickets for The Lion King musical went on sale.

The venue was overwhelmed by extraordinary demand despite its box office doubling in size to cope with an expected stampede for tickets.

The Lion King, already seen by more than 65 million people worldwide, is the biggest show The Playhouse has ever hosted.
