Row over bill for coaching at police body

The boss of the watchdog for Scotland's new single police force was involved in hiring a consultancy that gave her personal coaching for seven years and later won more than £400,000 worth of contracts.

Among the initiatives developed by staff after their sessions with Hollin Consulting was one aimed at reducing the time spent "looking for keys".

Andrea Quinn is interim chief executive of the Scottish Police Authority (SPA), which is responsible for overseeing Police Scotland, the single force that takes over from the country's eight forces from April 1.
