A WAR of words between the owners of Hall's of Broxburn and the businessman who made a failed bid to buy the closure-threatened meat processing plant escalated with a further bitter exchange.
Steve Green, of Graf Mortgage Corporation, said Dutch owners Vion had not taken his offer to buy the West Lothian factory – due to close in February with the loss of 1700 jobs – seriously, and the firm said the bid was inviable.
