Runners wanted to light up Edinburgh landmark

It will be a highlight – quite literally – of next year's Edinburgh Festival when runners ascend Arthur's Seat and illuminate the landmark with glowing, self-powered "light suits".

NVA, the Glasgow-based organisation behind the event, now wants to recruit the thousands of runners required to make the Speed of Light event possible.

Between August 9 and September 1 next year, the runners will move around in their special suits, making the hill come alive with light for viewers in the city.
