Rural pub calls last orders

TIME has been called on one of Scotland's most remote pubs.

The owners of the 200-year-old Tushielaw Inn blamed rising fuel costs and competition from supermarkets selling cheap alcohol for a drop in trade that has seen them close the business.

The former coaching inn, deep in the heart of the Ettrick Valley in the Scottish Borders, has been operating as a public house, restaurant and hotel.
