THE Ryder Cup has touched down at the host course, Gleneagles, as final preparations are made for the world famous golf tournament.

The trophy arrived yesterday from Aberdeenshire in Perthshire by helicopter. It will be displayed at the Gleneagles Hotel for the contest which begins on September 26 with top players from Europe and the US. It's been visiting Scottish clubs and was carried off the aircraft by 17-year-old Kayleigh Singer.
