Scot found dead on holiday isle

A YOUNG Scot has died on the holiday island of Ibiza.

Lewis Robertson, 20, was found dead in San Antonio on Monday. Police are investigating.

Mr Robertson was said to be from Larkhall, South Lanarkshire, and on holiday on the Spanish island with friends.

A group of his friends said they were flying to Ibiza after his death. Ainslie McAlpine wrote on a social networking site: "One of the hardest decisions we've had to make about flying … but that's what friends do, support each other and be there for each other at the toughest times. Going to be a hard one … Honoured to be able to have called you my friend wee Lewi."

A Foreign Office spokesman said: "We are aware of the death of a British national in San Antonio, Ibiza, on August 11.

"We are providing consular assistance to the family at this difficult time."
