Scot on stag weekend in Spain is found dead

A STAG weekend has ended in tragedy with the death of a 26-year-old Scot in Spain.

Craig Mallon, from Coatbridge, North Lanarkshire, died less than 24 hours after he arrived for a holiday at the resort of Lloret de Mar, on the Costa Brava, with a group of friends.

Mr Mallon's body was found in a street at 6.30am on Saturday.

According to Spanish newspaper reports, he and others had been involved in a fight with another group of tourists outside an all-night bar.

He arrived on Friday at the three-star Hotel Casino with his brother and several others for the weekend.

Paramedics attempted to revive Mr Mallon, but to no avail. Reports suggested he suffered cardiac arrest as a result of his injuries.
