SCOTTISH Secretary Michael Moore has said Brazil could present Scots businesses with "big opportunities" ahead of his official visit to the South American country.
He said Scottish energy industry expertise was much sought after in Brazil's emerging oil sector.
Moore added that combining UK influence and Scottish excellence "gives us the best of both worlds" when trying to do business in economies such as Brazil.
In response, the SNP's Stewart Hosie said Scotland was big enough to push itself globally.
