A SCOTS businessman has been killed in a skiing accident in the Alps.

Jeremy Salvesen, part of the global business family, fell 17ft on to a rock on a run at the resort of La Clusaz in France.

He was not wearing a helmet when he fell off the tedge.

The 51-year-old, who lived in the village of Elie in Fife, had previously taken part in a round-the-world yacht race on his 40ft boat.
