Joanna Findlay, from Blairgowrie in Perthshire, was convicted of attempted murder in November 2011, but a US jury cleared her of her husband's murder, concluding he had killed himself.
Findlay, 42, shot at her husband Gary Trogdon at their home in Hollywood, Maryland, on October 30, 2010.
