Martha Payne, 10, helped fund a kitchen in the country after raising money for Mary's Meals charity on the back of a blog she kept detailing the meals served at her primary school in Argyll and Bute.
The youngster has already visited Malawi once and yesterday her father David revealed the family of five were now looking at a more long-term move.
He said: "The biggest thing we're considering at the moment is going to Malawi for a year.
"We are really keen. Martha's keen and I think, for the kids, spending time with children in Malawi would be fantastic.
"I would like to farm there. My wife Rebecca is a GP. With her experience to train doctors, there's a real role for her. It's just a case of her getting a sabbatical from work and finding the right post there, where she can make a difference."
