EDDI Reader leads a Scottish invasion of musicians heading for one of the longest running and most famous folk festivals in the world.
They will perform in three Scottish Showcase concerts at the 50th Cambridge Folk Festival in August which is expected to attract over 10,000 festival goers and industry professionals from across the globe.
Eddi Reader, Julie Fowlis, Peatbog Faeries, Adam Holmes & The Embers, Michael McGoldrick, John McCusker, John Doyle, Brian McNeill, Aly Bain, Phil Cunningham, Choir workshop Bella Hardy, The Mischa MacPherson Trio and Feis Rois, will appear at the daily Showcase concerts, presented by Creative Scotland.
Ian Smith, portfolio manager for Music at Creative Scotland, said: "Creative Scotland is delighted to support the Scottish artists appearing at this, the 50th edition of the prestigious Cambridge Folk Festival.
"In this golden year we also see our young musicians from Feis Rois performing on one of the world's major stages for folk and acoustic music. Happy Anniversary Cambridge from Scotland!"
Previous artists who have appeared at seven previous Scottish Showcases at the festival include KT Tunstall, Capercaillie, Admiral Fallow, The Waterboys and Rachel Sermanni.
This year's sell-out event which runs from July 31 to August 3 features performances from Van Morrison, Sinead O'Connor, Rosanne Cash and Loudon Wainwright III.
The festival at Cherry Hinton Hall started in 1965, and attracts up to 14,000 fans. It showcases international headline artists and young, emerging talent on four different stages, with street theatre, music workshops, a free creche, and real ale bars.
The festival also features a music workshop, raucous ceilidhs, open stages, a youth area, internet cafe, kids' ceilidh, storytelling, free creche, paddling pool and playground.
Festival manager Eddie Barcan said: "We intend to celebrate 50 years of amazing music and great times in style this coming summer ..."
