Mercury Prize nominees Django Django will headline the Waverly Stage, which will also play host to Glasgow electronic band Chvrches, whose debut album recently made it to the UK top 10.
The Pet Shop Boys have already been announced as headliners for the event's Concert in the Gardens, while Fife-based singer-songwiter King Creosote will play the Keilidh Stage alongside Shetland collective Fiddlers' Bid.
The event celebrates its 21st birthday this year, and around 80,000 people are expected to attend.
Peter Irvine, director of Edinburgh's Hogmanay, said: Scotland's big year starts here and what better way to launch ourselves into the new year than with a showcase of Scotland's musical talent here in the home of Hogmanay."
An early bird offer for Edinburgh residents runs until October 31, with tickets available at the reduced price of £16.
The full programme for the event will be announced in November.
