Scottish rail passengers hit by West Coast disruption

Scots travelling to and from London by train on the West Coast main line are facing disruption and delays today.

Overhead line problems between Wigan and Preston which were reported early this morning mean that direct Glasgow Central-London Euston services are cancelled until further notice.

Early reports from engineers suggest full repairs will take most of Saturday.
