Sculptures from a thousand words

TEN sculptures given to arts venues and museums in Edinburgh by an anonymous artist have gone on display in Glasgow.

The artworks, all made from books, will be on show at the Mitchell Library.

Each of the works, which include a tree made from paper mounted on top of a book found at the Poetry Library, a gramophone and coffin made from a copy of Ian Rankin's Exit Music, and a dragon sitting inside a cracked egg, came with an enigmatic note from the sculptor.

However, the artist has not come forward to reveal their identity.

The exhibition runs until October 27.
