Police are appealing for help in tracing a man and a woman who have gone missing from near a loch.

John Yuill, 28, and Lamara Bell, 25, were last seen in the company of friends on the south shore of Loch Earn, Stirlingshire, in the early hours of Sunday.

They are believed to be together and in a light blue Renault Clio. There have been no sighting or contact from the couple since then, which is believed to be out of character of both of them.

Ms Bell is described as white woman with long purple hair and brown eyes. She is around 5ft 4 inches tall.

She was last seen wearing a blue hooded top with a striped t-shirt underneath, blue tracksuit bottoms and white and pink trainers.

Mr Yuill is described as white man with short black hair. He is around 6ft 1 inches in height. He was last seen wearing grey jogging trousers, a black zipped hooded top and white trainers.

Chief Inspector Mandy Paterson said: "Both John and Lamara have not been seen since Sunday morning, which is believed to be completely out of character for both of them.

"We are eager to trace them both as soon as possible. Anyone with information regarding their whereabouts is asked to contact police immediately."

Those with information are asked to contact Police Scotland on 101.
