YOUNGSTERS from across Glasgow have competed for a starring role in a popular Christmas pantomime.

Hundreds of youngsters aged between six and 16 auditioned for a place in this year's King's Theatre performance of The Lost Boys. Organisers First Family Entertainment held open auditions at the city centre venue in a bid to find actors to play the roles of John and Michael.

Marking 50 years of pantomime at the venue, the competition will give 16 boys the chance to star in the new production of Peter Pan. Those chosen will join comedy stars Greg McHugh, Gavin Mitchell and Des Clarke from December 6 until January 11.
