Searching for spring
THE snowdrop is among the first brave blooms to show their faces in the earliest indicator of the arrival of spring.
Nowhere was the splash of white more evident than the Earl of Rosebery's woodland estate at Dalmeny near Edinburgh.
It was open to the public yesterday for its annual charity snowdrop day.
