Seven arrested after police seize drugs worth almost £700,000

Seven people have been arrested after police seized drugs worth almost £700,000.

Cocaine with a street value of about £695,000 and a small amount of cannabis were recovered during a raid in Peterculter, on the outskirts of Aberdeen, yesterday.

The drugs seizure is the largest from a single address in the north-east since the creation of Police Scotland last April.

Five men aged between 21 and 27 and two women aged 19 were arrested and are expected to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court today in connection with the recovery.

All are from the local area, police said.
