TEN people are being treated in hospital after a horror crash involving a mini bus.

The accident happened at around 7am this morning on the A83 in Argyll, near the Kennacraig Ferry Terminal.

Those hurt  are said to have suffered a variety of different injuries with some understood to be in a serious condition.

Four people were taken to Mid Argyll Hospital, five to Campbeltown Hospital and one was rushed by air ambulance to the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley.

A spokeswoman from Police Scotland said the road is closed and will remain closed for "a number of hours" as specialist investigation teams probe the cause of the crash.
