Six in intensive care as flu strikes

SIX people were admitted to intensive care in Scotland in the past week amid concerns the cold snap could be behind the upturn in flu cases.

New figures showed 20 people died in the past 19 weeks of the winter season from flu, and there have been 71 flu cases requiring intensive care treatment .
