Snoozebox venture targets Open visitors

GOLF fans will be able to enjoy a snooze just a short putt away from the Open Championship this July at Muirfield.

The Archerfield Estates next door to the East Lothian host course plans to install 160 Snoozebox temporary rooms in their Walled Garden visitor attraction in time for the event.

The accommodation is transported ready made and resembles sleeper train cabins.

Fraser Niven, chief executive of Archerfield Estates Ltd, said: "We see Snoozebox at the Walled Garden as a fantastic opportunity to build both these new brands and offer visitors to the Open a new way to stay nearby and enjoy both the golf and the hospitality we will extend to them."

Alex McKie, group managing director of Fusion Group UK, said: "We are giving our customers great value accommodation for a world famous event which is also quirky and fun to experience."
