The Dundee United striker was released on bail and inquiries into the alleged incident in the early hours of January 2 are ongoing.
Goodwillie’s team-mate David Robertson, 23, was also questioned by detectives but has not been charged.

Scotland footballer David Goodwillie has been charged with raping a 24-year-old woman at a New Year party in West Lothian.
