Michael and Jonathan Burns set off with ex-Hoops heroes Pat Bonner and Frank McGarvey and a host of family and friends, with the aim of completing their mission in four or five days.
Ross County was the first port of call yesterday ahead of a gruelling 400 miles of pedalling for the Tommy Burns Skin Cancer Trust.
The 'Tour for Tommy' aims to raise £100,000 to fight skin cancer, the disease that claimed the life of Burns in 2008 at the age of 51.
The cash will be split between Glasgow's Beatson Oncology Centre and MASScot (Melanoma Action and Support Scotland).
MASScot plans to use the money for mobile drop-in units, allowing anyone concerned about melanoma to pop by for screening in a relaxed environment.
