An engineer drove on a road with a high accident rate at 120mph while almost four times the legal drink driving limit.
Michael Laverty, 39, appeared at Inverness Sheriff Court yesterday and admitted speeding and driving with excess alcohol.
Earlier this year he had recorded pleas of not guilty to dangerous driving and drunk driving when he appeared from custody.
