Spending cuts could mean loss of 120,000 Scottish jobs

More than 120,000 jobs will be lost in Scotland within five years because of swingeing spending cuts, a leading think-tank has warned.

Strathclyde University’s Fraser of Allander Institute said 90,000 jobs in the public sector and a further 37,000 posts in private industry would go.
