The company announced yesterday it was shedding a total of 600 jobs over the next 15 months.The cuts follow the loss of more than 1000 jobs in Scotland’s increasingly vulnerable finance industry in the last two months.

Standard Life to axe 500 jobs at Edinburgh office
Almost 500 jobs are being axed at the Edinburgh offices of insurance and pensions giant Standard Life in the latest blow to Scotland’s financial services sector.
