Mr Riley, who is known for playing character Winston Ingram in the hit TV show Still Game, has been called as a witness by Ian Duffy.
Mr Duffy, 54, head of Railway Projects Ltd, is accused of making the comments at a Celtic versus Juventus match at Celtic Park.
It is alleged that he made the racist remarks at restaurateur Marcello Crolla and Franco Cortellessa at the Martin O'Neill Lounge at Celtic Park on February 12, last year.
Duffy, from Bridgeton in Glasgow's east end, represented by lawyer Aamer Anwar, was due to stand trial yesterday at Glasgow Sheriff Court but the case was adjourned until October.
Three witnesses were not at the trial, including both Mr Crolla and Mr Cortellessa. Sheriff Ian Miller granted the Crown's motion for a warrant for Mr Cortellessa and continued the case until later this year.
