Storytime fun

YOUNG reader Ryan McDermott, five, from Maryhill, Glasgow, blows bubbles with children's author and illustrator Jo Hall following her workshop session exploring the world of her character JoJo Gnome.

The event was part of the Glasgow Wee Write! Family Day at the city's Mitchell Library yesterday.

Scotland's first major book festival dedicated to young readers runs until Friday and features more than 100 events.

Its parent festival Aye Write! begins on April 4.
