Strike shuts museum

SCOTLAND'S busiest museum was closed by a strike over pay.

Members of the Public and Commercial Services Union walked out of venues including the National Museum of Scotland yesterday. The union claims members' standard of living is suffering due to a decision to end weekend working pay to staff hired after 2011.

A National Museums of Scotland spokeswoman said the action was "regrettable".
