FROM the film noir seduction of Bogart and Bacall, to the gritty cool of Uma Thurman and Al Pacino, Hollywood has had a long love affair with the cigarette.
But it seems fags are no longer seen as cool or glamorous, according to a survey of 2000 UK smokers.
Just 1% believe they look trendy, according to the study, conducted on behalf of the British Heart Foundation ahead of No Smoking Day on Wednesday. It found two-thirds of smokers believe public attitudes towards smoking have become increasingly negative over recent years.
