Surveyors predict house price rise

SURVEYORS are predicting that house prices will rise in Scotland in the months ahead as the country begins to pull out of the slump that has gripped the market for the past five years.

A report by the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) found its members expect the number of houses changing hands to increase as more people buy and sell their homes.

The survey also found surveyors have recorded a rise in the number of home reports they have been asked to prepare at the end of 2012, indicating more people are about to enter the market.
