Tall Ships event provided £24m boost to the Scottish economy

THE Tall Ships event has been hailed a huge success after generating £24 million this summer across Scotland, according to a new economic report.

Spending by visitors and crew saw the Greenock-based event – held on the Clyde for the first time in 12 years – pour £10.4m into the Inverclyde region, with a further £8.6m rippling through the west of Scotland.
