Technology prize won by physicist

A BRITISH physicist who pioneered the use of hard drives and cloud-based storage won a technology award that has led to a Nobel Prize in the past.

Professor Stuart Parkin, from Watford, was awarded the 2014 Millennium Technology Prize by the Technology Academy in Helsinki, Finland.
