Teenager arrested for allegedly posting sectarian and racist comments online following Clutha crash

A 16-year-old boy has been arrested for allegedly posting sectarian and racist comments online in the wake of the Glasgow helicopter crash.

The teenager is expected to appear at Ayr Sheriff Court today in connection with remarks made on a social networking site following Friday's tragedy.

He was arrested and detained on Sunday and is in custody, Police Scotland said.

A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
