Charities helped by the event include:
l Cumbernauld's Watch US Grow provides learning experiences in gardening, recycling and composting. Its volunteers back Challenge teams and it has had grants worth £3,400.
l Cowal Elderly Befrienders has supported teams on the Challenge for years and has received grants worth £1900.
l Last year Riding for the Disabled Glasgow got £2,000 via Foundation Scotland for the upkeep of a horse.
