It is 7am in a smart middle class neighbourhood in a West Lothian town.
The sun is rising over the ivy-clad houses in this modern scheme and the school run is not far away. But for Robert the peace is illusory. By the time the window cleaner calls at 11am, he will be detained by Lothian And Borders Police and his girlfriend will have left him.
